A police stand-off causes a massive traffic jam on a rural stretch of highway in Michigan as a refrigerated government transport truck makes its way to a top-secret research facility in Ann Arbor. When the truck’s refrigeration unit fails, its mysterious cargo begins to thaw, unleashing a pack of slimy, bloodthirsty creatures on the unsuspecting motorists trapped in the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Now it’s up to a disgraced motorcycle cop, a pair of college burnouts, a Latino gang member and a sexy scientist to save the day and prevent the vicious specimens from reaching a larger population.
